From Paper Hearts to a Dream
My desktop became a gallery. My drawers, a treasure chest. Each small creation was a masterpiece in her eyes, and honestly, in ours too. Watching her carefully fold paper, her tongue poking out in concentration, or seeing her eyes light up as she presented her latest "surprise" to her mom, her brother, or me—these moments filled our home with a magic that money couldn't buy.
One evening, surrounded by her colorful creations—paper hearts, little rings, and yarn bracelets—I couldn't help but smile. "You know what, sweetie? When you grow up, you're going to be an incredible designer". Without missing a beat, with the confidence only an 8-year-old possesses, she looked at me and said, "Why wait? Let’s do it now!".
I had to gently explain that jewelry requires special skills and materials that go beyond paper and rubber bands. Her face didn't fall though—instead, her eyes lit up with a new idea. "Then I can help you choose the most beautiful jewelry pieces!" she said, ever the problem-solver.
